How to measure — all you need is clear tape, a pen and a ruler
1Place a strip of transparent tape across the widest part of your natural nail.
2Press the tape firmly into both sidewalls of the nail.
3Mark the left and right edges of the nail on the tape with a fine-tip pen.
4Peel the tape off and lay it flat on a ruler.
5Measure the distance between the two marks in millimetres.
6Repeat for all ten nails — every finger is different.

No tape at hand? A thin strip of paper works the same way — wrap, mark both edges, measure it flat.
